WEBINAR: Find Out What Gives Abbey Road Studios Its Commercial Edge

Only published comments... Mar 06 2013, 12:00 AM by Tony Cariddi

Abbey Road Studios has everything you could want from a recording studio—beautiful sounding rooms, an incredible and highly trained staff, some of the most cherished vintage gear in the world, and a rich history of artists, music and craft that would inspire anyone. But even for this recording Mecca, with all of its accolades and fame, investment in technology is what keeps it on the leading-edge.

I know from personal experience that the industry is changing; I see it every day in my role at Avid, and commercial studios understand it as well. But Abbey Road Studios seems to have the upper hand and has created that perfect “edge”, with help from Pro Tools|HDX, to entice artists to return to their studio time and time again.

Set aside some time to join me during the “The Commercial Edge at Abbey Road Studios” HDX Webinar when I meet with Simon Campbell, Chris Bolster, and Paul Pritchard of Abbey Road Studios, to learn how their Pro Tools|HDX upgrade has affected their business.

Sign up for the webinar at 10 a.m. (PT) / 1 p.m. (ET) on Thursday, March 14, and discover what I learned, including …

· The technical and business challenges the studio faced

· What drove their decision to upgrade to Pro Tools|HDX

· What effect HDX has made on their clients’ creativity

· Plus, get your questions answered in a live Q&A

I’m looking forward to answering your questions after the webinar!

About Tony Cariddi

As an audio engineer and artist, I’ve recorded, mixed, prepped and cued for live broadcast, infomercials, radio, books on tape, and have done audio postproduction and scores. Since starting with Digidesign in 1996 I’ve had various roles in sales and marketing and today I serve as the marketing director for audio at Avid. I love playing guitar and the art of making magic in the studio and while I currently don’t work in the field, I still make time for making music.
