As iPad fever and interest in the latest iPad applications sweep the nation, we wanted to share how anchors and journalists in the newsroom who use an Avid iNEWS newsroom computer system can now view their scripts and queues directly on the Apple iPad (or any device with a Web browser)!

Did you know that the average station can print out more than 4,000 pages of paper a day? With access to the latest iNEWS updates in real-time on an iPad screen, there’s no need to reprint scripts or remain vulnerable to error with story order changes. In addition, this new way to access iNEWS scripts and information on an iPad can help newsrooms as they look at ways to become more paperless—saving big on hard copy costs. Check out this video by Avid’s own Steve Wilcox who shows us the application in action.
