We're mixing things up here on Industry Buzz and handing the ‘virtual pen' over to Academy Award nominee Chris Innis (The Hurt Locker).

Leading up to Sunday's festivities, Chris will share her reflections and experiences from her time editing the film as well as what she's thinking leading up to the big day. So stay tuned as we get ready to walk down the red carpet together.

Christina "Chris" Innis graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.A. in film studies, and received her M.F.A. in live action filmmaking from California Institute of the Arts, the creative arts school founded by Walt Disney. She was mentored by Academy Award-winning editor Pietro Scalia, who she first worked with on the Academy-Award winning Oliver Stone film, "JFK."

Some of her editorial credits include work on film director Sam Raimi's cult TV show "American Gothic," Raimi's "The Gift" and "Spider-man" (Music editor: temp score), and Ridley Scott's "G.I.Jane" (Associate Editor). Innis is also a writer-filmmaker who has been a semi-finalist in the Academy of Arts and Sciences Don & Gee Nicholl Screenwriting fellowship and the   Chesterfield Writers Film Project Screenwriting Competition. Her short films have screened at several major film festivals.  Innis won the BAFTA and American Cinema Editors (A.C.E.) awards for "Best Film Editing" for The Hurt Locker, shared with co-editor, Bob Murawski. The team is also nominated for an Academy Award.
