I recommend to use Sony Caatalyst Browse (free) and convert the clips to a different format for NLE's. The other alternative would be to use TMPGEnc Video Mastering Works 6 (Trial) and convert the clips to QuickTime files with settings to DNxHD or to uncompressed Quicktime movie and then import to MC or AMA link files with MC. Thank you Dom and aVienna for your replies. What you both have listed is why I am stuck at making a decision. One system able to run 24 threads and the other system only 12 threads. But the i7-5820K is a newer processor that benchmark wise beats a single Xeon X5690. Does MC take advantage of a dual processor system with 24 threads to provide superior...

Re: MC 8.3.1 / Resolve roundtrip bug

Thanks for you input. I often transcode to DNx when sending to Resolve. Did not think to on this project for some reason. Learned my lesson ... One detail I left out in the original post. As a matter of course, we always process to DNx when outputing from Resolve. And as I said, when we checked those files before opening in MC, everything was good....
